Thanksgiving & Christmas
What Families Need, and a Little of What They Want
Bestowing the Basics partners with area schools and the ABC Food Bank to provide toys, clothing, and shoes to neighbors who need a hand at the holidays.
When the season is on the horizon, we also work alongside area agencies, small businesses, and like-minded neighbors. Our volunteers shop sales all year long, buying ahead so the budget stretches further.
Beyond the families we help directly, we support the ABC Food Bank’s Tree of Sharing and have gifted groups of children from Athol, Garwood, and Spirit Lake Elementary. Over the years, hundreds of families, especially children and teens, have received things they wanted and needed and could not otherwise afford.

Shop Ahead
Our volunteers buy throughout the year when prices drop. Join the shopping crew, or pick up a few items on sale yourself.
Wrap and Deliver
In November and December we need hands to wrap gifts, sort them by family, and get them delivered on time.
Give Financially
A gift of any size helps buy toys, clothing, and shoes for a family this season.
