Where to Start

Four Ways In

Bestowing the Basics has no paid employees. Everything on this site happens because neighbors give time, goods, or money — usually a bit of each. Pick whichever fits you.

Volunteer

Help sort donations, distribute supplies, drive a delivery, serve a meal, or assist with local outreach. No minimum hours and no experience required.

Give

Every contribution goes directly toward essential goods and assistance for local families. Zeffy, Venmo, PayPal, card, or check.

Donate Goods

Buy from the needs list and leave it at one of our four collection bins, or mail it to our PO Box.

Spread the Word

Share our mission in your church, workplace, or social media. It costs nothing and it reaches the neighbors who do not know we exist.

Give Time

Join Our Team

We are looking for kind, dependable people, not resumes. Most of the work is simple and hands-on: sorting donations, packing pouches, driving a delivery, setting up tables, or sitting and visiting with someone who has not had company all week.

Volunteers of any age are welcome alongside an adult. From age 14 a young person can serve on their own with a parent or guardian’s consent. We do not require background checks.

Collaborate With Us

Businesses, churches, schools, and civic groups can host a collection bin, sponsor a program, match employee giving, or donate services such as printing, storage, or transport. Most of what our partners give us is something they already had.
